Spreading belt

The spreading conveyor belt is used to separate or bring products closer together in a production line. This functionality can be applied both widthwise and lengthwise, depending on the needs of the production process.

In the width direction, this is achieved by shifting the guides through which the belts run. This can be done for various reasons:

  • Improved breading: By creating more space between the products, each individual item can be breaded evenly, resulting in better breading quality.
  • Bandwidth adjustment: Sometimes, it’s necessary to adjust the belt’s width. The spreading conveyor belt enables this adjustment, for example, from 400 to 600 or vice versa.
  • More space during frying: During frying, having more space between the products can be beneficial for even cooking and texture.
Pulling the products apart lengthwise is also used to prevent them from sticking together during baking in the oven and to ensure more uniform cooking.

By controlling two different speeds of the belts in the electrical cabinet, the products can move individually, preventing them from sticking together during the baking process.
